Introducing: Rafael Osmo

Hey, how are you? How’s everything going at the moment?

I am fine thanks!

How did you start off in the Dance music scene, and when?

Since 2000 I have been in the scene, and I first started with Psy Trance and made the transition to Trance in 2011.

What makes your sound unique – and how would you describe it?

138bpm , Bass line 3/4 (Psy) , Kick of Psy Trance, breakdown melody – and techy.

Who were your influences growing up?

Since childhood I have always loved the PVD! I started to hear Tiesto in the early 2000’s and from there came the inspiration to start doing things like Trance and Psy Trance.

What have been your favourite moments in your career so far?

It is very difficult to decide as many things have happened recently. But the best moment was probably Paul Van Dyk loved my songs and decided to sign them to VANDIT!

For me it’s a dream come true but there are other surprises along the way 🙂

And what’s your ultimate career dream?

Right now I’m trying to combine performances alongside production and I really want to play at big festivals like Dreamstate / Lumi / Shine.

Can you tell us about any upcoming releases and projects you’ve got lined up?

Yes of course; Soon my remix of STA – I really enjoyed doing it. After that is my next release on GO Music, and many more to follow…

Who are your biggest inspirations in the current scene?

Today it is Giuseppe Ottaviani, Paul Van Dyk, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J!

Can you tell us something not many people know about Rafael Osmo?

As many know I really like progressive, and I am working on a new project that is deep and progressive!
It is signed exclusively on Perfecto Black!
