Barcelona has become a hotbed for some of the best underground House & Techno artists, labels, brands and parties in recent years and 2019 has been no different with another name on the scene bubbling up on the dancefloors – Rubén de Madame. His brand of deep, hypnotic and often pounding productions have captured the attention and support of some of the world’s most discerning purveyors of quality and energetic electronic music.
Rubén’s ‘Fuck Police’ delivers a political message, delivered in the way he knows best – through slamming drum kits, chest-rattling bass and hyperactive rhythms that are tailor made for the underground dance-floors. The booming kicks are synchronised around a vicious and hypnotic bass arp that is clearly concocted to send the rave crowds into a delirious storm of pulsing audio waves and aggressive energy through the party. There is no room for compromise from Rubén on this production as he opts to put aside his sometimes more groove-inspired releases and delivers a direct hit of power and electronic Techno goodness on this hard-hitting dance-floor weapon.
Rubén is used to getting the nod from heavyweight DJs through support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and others, so we’ve got no doubt that you’ll be hearing ‘Fuck Police’ swirling around clubs and stages across the underground Techno world as we push into a new decade, where we will no doubt be hearing more from the beat-lab of Rubén de Madame or on the road where you’ll find him live at a host of clubs, raves and stages.
Happy New Year from Rubén & Fuck Police.
