German cousins, Keven and Daniel Lyon are setting their home country alight with their crisp productions and energetic DJ sets. The duo is on fire and has been releasing huge tracks such as ‘Liberty’ and ‘Space’. Working hard, believing in your music and delivering consistently are ethics the Lyonbrotherz live by and it shows! We caught up with Keven and Daniel to discuss their career so far.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
-Hey there, we are Keven Lyon and Daniel Lyon alias Lyonbrotherz.
We are 28 years young and from Gronau, Germany, we like to make music and want to get heard by any human on this planet!
How did you get into music?
-The short story is that we started at the age of 16/17 with Rap music (first with instrumentals from other rap artists) to stay away from trouble. It was a kind of salvation for us. Later we started to make our own ‘beats’.
Our first steps into EDM came after visiting a huge EDM festival near our hometown. It was so impressive that we thought to ourselves “Ok that’s it! This is what we should be doing”.
- What is your all-time favourite song?
-We don‘t have just one favourite song! There are many good artists which produce really good songs but for us songs like ‘Ghost in the Machine’ by Blasterjaxx or ‘Mammoth’ by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and of course the new Lyonbrotherz x Greenskiez tracks, too!
Who are your biggest inspirations?
– We get inspired by many things but there is no specific artist or mood… It’s more about the feelings we get.
If you won a lottery ticket and had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
-We would fund a charity to support the deaf and giving them a chance to hear through implants and to enjoy the beauty of music.
What made you fall in love with dance music?
-The art itself and the expression of feelings. You have to know everything rises and falls with music and dance music is so extensive, the possibilities to create something amazing are unlimited.
How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
– That’s difficult. Take a listen and tell us your decision xD
If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be?
-There are so many but it would have to be Avicii. We always dreamed of making a song with him.
Have you got a secret talent?
-Yes, but it‘s really a secret… We can talk to the walls.
DJing or Producing?
-Both.
Who would be your dream collaboration?
-At this point it is so difficult, there are so many talented artists that would be a privilege to make a song with. We simply can’t choose!

If you could instantly know how to play one instrument, what would it be?
-Xylophone
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
–We see us in front of a million fans screaming our name. We will throw T-Shirts with our faces on into the crowd. Every radio station plays our music, every festival wants us to play, and TV shows fighting for us to get an interview…
